Meet The Editor Teigan Draig
Seeker of light, dragon tamer, woodland wanderer, butterfly queen, crystal collector, and mother to my young prince.
Merry meet! My name is Teigan Draig. I currently reside in Ohio with my young son where I am a certified Spiritual Life Coach. I love to make handmade body scrubs, bath salt soaks, and herb infused conjure oils from my home studio. I am also a professional photographer and digital artist. I am a graduate of The University of Northwestern Ohio where I earned a degree in Travel and Hospitality Management. I also attended The Savannah College of Art and Design where I studied art and photography.
I am a grey witch, hard rock fan, and single mom. I love to spend time with my son exploring nature, going to the drag races, and listening to music. I have loved photography since I was a young girl. When I was a teenager I couldn't wait for my little sister to get home from school. I would usher her out to the small field of wildflowers in the woods behind our house, plop her down, and start snapping away. She would eventually grow tired of me posing her and taking pictures and would head to the house, leaving me all alone with my camera out in the woods. I would then turn my lens to the beauty I found in nature. I loved capturing the intricate detail found in nature. Butterflies are my favorite subject to photograph.
I also create digital art and write poetry. Much of my artwork is inspired in one way or another by my favorite music. I often have visions and images come to mind when listening to music which I then try to render as artwork. Poetry is an outlet for me to express the deepest parts of my soul. Writing helps me find balance by being a creative outlet for dark parts of my soul. Things can’t always be butterflies and rainbows. When I can’t seem to find a way to express myself through photography or creating artwork, I write. I often create background images to pair with my writings. Some of my writings are also inspired by my path as a grey witch. Being able to create has helped me get through some of my darkest hours.
I discovered my pagan path about three years ago after having been unsuccessful in finding fulfillment in my then current faith. I began studying Wicca and like a sponge, I soaked up all the knowledge I could find. My path quickly began to evolve as my beliefs changed and I settled comfortably into my current path as an eclectic grey witch. Being a witch comes so naturally and I realize I have always been one. I am home, and oh how wonderful it is.
Brightest blessings,
